King For A Day

I was peeled,
Skinless.
They found me at the city dump,
Looking for eternity
In an empty tin can.
(The intoxicating residue
of tomato sauce
and one squashed baked bean.
Empires have tottered
and fallen for less).

Here I stand,
My reeking, rotting
Kingdom.
Life is good
When you're a man of substance.

Licenced fool,
Lord of Misrule.
I shall sit here
All the day long
And drool.

Like some Beckett character. Could be the script for my friend's short film. Here: www.myspace.com/seanreynard (or click on my myspace - he's a top friend). I think the film is called Little Star.

Been uploading some short flix myself. But the myspace host seems to present sound and vision somewhat out of synch! What a pisser! Ruins the effect!

In light of above tech prob, have cobbled dedicated myspace for my cartoons:

Nowt posted yet. Will let you know when there's something to look at. As a fellow maker of shorts, you might be interested.

I've found some stuff I've uploaded onto Myspace suffers a slight loss of visual quality and plays rather jerkily ... I must actually get off my arse and put more stuff up but the usual hurdles, no real equipment, etc, are there.
Just watched 'Little Star' - hope those plums where clean ... as the
deep sea diver said to the MP.

Knowing Sean, those plums could have been 'bought-as-seen', I'm afraid. The idea I have for the dedicated film site is to use youtube - which seems better quality. It looks a bit shite importing it into myspace, as there are white gaps around the frame. I get caught up in such things, unfortunately! To try to solve this, I've made a daring all-white myspace page!

I do have a camcorder. But it doesn't talk to the laptop very well. I tend to use my webcam for filming. Obviously the quality suffers, but I don't mind that. The things I make are crude anyway, and meant to be. The webcam adds to the cartoonish nature of it. It looks funny and tires one's arm, though, filming with the webcam and laptop instead of a camcorder! Have to post a pic of that little operation!
