Oooh, slap some mustard on me belly, it's marvellous Kenneth. He is so cool. I love the Mexican images of the dead as well. Can you remember that cool shop near Berwick St. that used to sell all of those dolls?
I wish Kenneth had done more. At least the DVDs are out now. Genius.
Greatest living film maker, hands down. Absolute genius. Kenny and Eisenstein - brothers in arms. The scenes behind Mr Anger are from Que Viva Mexico!,a great fucked-up, unfinished masterpiece. Of which Anger has a few to his name, too.
I love the dialectic between pleasure and pain in 'Scorpio' - you know those brilliant Elvis like shots of bikeresque vanity at the beginning to pig squeal Night-town. It's a delight.
I hear Mr A has a number of new films in the pipeline - will they ever see the light of day? Would love to see his Mickey Mouse epic, and I read that there is one about the dreams of a Hitler Youth ... that Mr Anger, he is a one.
